Dr. Sami Younes’ Story
Dr. Sami Younes is a comprehensive ophthalmologist providing medical and surgical eye care throughout the greater Houston area. A Houston native, he is excited to return home and care for patients in the community where he grew up.
His interest in medicine began early, receiving early acceptance to medical school while attending DeBakey High School for Health Professions. He earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Houston, graduating summa cum laude, and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Dr. Younes’ clinical interests include cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, medical retina, and blepharoplasty. He is committed to providing thorough, evidence-based care while taking the time to understand each patient’s individual needs.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Younes enjoys weightlifting, running, exploring Houston’s food scene, and spending time with family and friends.
